Safe Rides, Happy Tails
Some days, the hardest part of getting your dog to daycare isn’t the daycare — it’s the commute. Early meetings, long treks, a car that never quite recovers from wet paws and shedding season.
Good news: DogServices now offers pet transportation throughout Richmond, so your dog can get to us and back home again without rearranging your morning.
Our van is set up for dogs and only dogs, with six dedicated spots per trip and a driver who knows the routine.
Your pup has two ways to ride: hop on our scheduled weekday route, or book private door-to-door service for pickup and drop-off at your home.
Daily Route & Schedule
Our group transportation route runs Monday through Friday with two neighborhood pickup points. We drop dogs off at both DogServices and Little DogServices before the van moves to the next pickup location.
- 7:00 – 7:20 AM — Pick up at Patrick Henry Park (Church Hill)
- 7:20 – 7:40 AM — Travel to DogServices & Little DogServices
- 7:40 – 7:50 AM — Drop off
- 7:50 – 8:15 AM — Travel to Short Pump Park
- 8:15 – 8:35 AM — Pick up at Short Pump Park
- 8:35 – 8:55 AM — Travel to DogServices & Little DogServices
- 9:00 – 9:10 AM — Drop off
- 9:15 AM – 2:30 PM — Private door-to-door transportation, by appointment only
Group Transportation Rates
Our scheduled route is the simplest and most affordable way to transport your dog.
- One-way, per dog: $15
- Round trip: Coming soon
- Additional dogs from the same household on the same trip: Add $10 per dog
Private Door-to-Door Transportation
Can’t make the route work? Private transportation is individual pickup and drop-off at your door, by appointment, between 9:15 AM and 2:30 PM. It’s a good fit for dogs who do better riding solo, for households outside the route neighborhoods, and for days when the schedule simply doesn’t line up.
Private rates start at the following, based on mileage from our Thalbro Street location:
- 0 – 5 miles: $30
- 5 – 10 miles: $40
- 10 – 15 miles: $50
- 15 – 20 miles: $60
- 20+ miles: Call for a quote
- Additional dogs from the same household on the same trip: Add $10 per dog
How to Schedule a Ride
Transportation requests can be made two ways:

Reservations are required, and we ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. Keep in mind that a request doesn’t automatically hold a seat. We’ll send you a confirmation email once your reservation is scheduled. No-shows and same-day cancellations are charged the full cost of service.
Good to Know
- Transportation is available Monday through Friday.
- The van has six dedicated spots for dogs per trip. We cannot transport specialty crates or giant breeds.
- The driver drops off at both DogServices and Little DogServices before moving to the next pickup location.
- Our group transportation schedule is subject to change based on demand and may be reduced to fewer days per week.
- Evening drop-off service may be available in the future. Times are still to be determined.
