Requirements for all positions include a positive attitude, a strong attention to detail, strong work ethic, ability to work unsupervised, ability to lift 40lbs and be on your feet for extended times, be familiar with small/large dog breeds and dog behavior, be able to work individually and as part of a team, be friendly, have compassion for and love our dogs as if they were your own.

Assistant Manager duties include providing a high level of customer service, overseeing animal care, coaching, motivating and training employees, creating a positive and safe work environment, providing information and feedback for other employees, checking pets in and out, scheduling appointments, addressing customer needs, and assisting in other areas as needed. Spending quality time, playing with, and walking dogs is also part of the position. The ideal candidate will have: experience managing people, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and enthusiasm and patience in working with animals.

Receptionist duties include providing a high level of customer service, greeting client’s and their pets, checking pets in and out, taking payments, scheduling appointments, addressing customer needs, and assisting in other areas as needed. The ideal candidate will have: experience managing customer expectations, excellent phone, verbal and written communication skills, and enthusiasm and patience in working with animals. Other responsibilities include recording and confirming feeding and medicating instructions, offering extended services such as walks, baths and TLC’s to our clients. Computer skills will be needed to take and modify reservations, and record and confirm vaccinations.

Kennel Attendant duties will include: walking dogs, feeding and medicating, rotating dogs outside to play, supervising dogs while outside, cleaning kennels and playrooms (including poop, pee, vomit), dusting, doing laundry, washing bowls and mopping. Experience bathing and cutting nails is a plus. Experience in a kennel or vet’s office is preferred. One weekend day and most holidays are required.

Overnight Kennel Attendant duties include most duties listed above. The Overnight Attendant will work every Friday overnight and Sunday 9am-6pm. Additional day shifts may also be available. This is a great position for college students as you get many hours working few days. Experience in a kennel or vet’s office is preferred.
